The programme is open to three age groups: Juniors, 13 to 14; Middles, 15 to 17; and Seniors, 18 to 21. Applicants are expected to have at least B2-level English, and all students complete short motivational questions on the application form so we can assess suitability for the tutorial format.

The Oxford Summer Academy runs from 8 to 20 August 2027. Students stay at St Anne’s College, Oxford, and teaching includes sessions at the Oxford Union.

Both tiers include programme teaching and materials, accommodation from arrival to departure, all programme meals, Heathrow Airport arrival and departure transfers within the specified programme time windows, the London excursion, programme museums, visits and organised activities, a formal dinner or gala, research-paper support and feedback, the Future Labs, Oxford Global Forum and residential welfare provision. Heathrow transfer windows will be shared with families before the programme.

The price does not include flights, personal spending, expenses unrelated to the programme, transport to or from airports other than Heathrow, or travel outside the specified Heathrow transfer windows unless expressly arranged by OGE. There are no compulsory add-ons, hidden programme charges or optional academic supplements. OGE tutors are selected from academics and graduates of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Tutors must demonstrate a strong academic record and at least 100 hours of teaching experience. Selection considers subject expertise, teaching ability and the capacity to challenge and support students through tutorial discussion.

The application deadline is 30 April, although places may fill earlier due to limited capacity.

Admission is selective, since places are limited in order to keep tutorial groups small. We review applications for academic motivation and appetite for the tutorial system, and we recommend applying early as popular subjects can fill quickly.

Each student takes one subject as a major and one as a minor. Tutorials are normally delivered one-to-one or two-to-one and may occasionally be delivered three-to-one. Alongside the tutorials, every student takes the Future Labs, attends the Oxford Global Forum lectures, and writes an extended research paper in their major subject.

Yes. Every student follows a personalised academic plan. Tutors tailor lessons to the student’s background, interests, and goals, in line with Oxford-inspired tutorial teaching.

Two one-to-one post-course mentorship sessions provide structured follow-up on university applications, academic planning, and any personalised guidance the student would find most useful. These are included in the Scholars tier.

Support does not end when the programme finishes. All participants join our Ambassador and Alumni community, with ongoing lectures, frequent communication, and continued access to our Residential Deans and academic tutors for advice on applications and next steps.

Students live in secure college accommodation at St Anne’s College, Oxford, with 24-hour porter coverage and dedicated residential welfare support. Residential Deans are dedicated to student welfare during the programme. Families receive the relevant arrangements before arrival.

Residential Deans, designated safeguarding leads, deputy designated safeguarding leads and first-aid-trained staff support students throughout the programme. Supervision, curfews, sign-out arrangements and activity staffing are applied according to age and programme context.

Programme staff working directly with students undergo the appropriate enhanced DBS checks as part of OGE’s safer-recruitment process.

Heathrow Airport arrival and departure transfers are included within the specified programme time windows. Heathrow handovers operate only during those published windows. Families receive the relevant arrangements before arrival.

No. Visa applications and fees are the responsibility of parents or guardians. We provide full documentation support but do not submit applications on families’ behalf.

If a visa application is refused, all fees will be refunded on receipt of the official refusal notice, with the exception of the reservation deposit.

The reservation deposit of £1,299 is non-refundable. Where the 14-day cooling-off period applies, you may cancel within 14 days for a refund of amounts paid, less the enrolment fee, provided the service has not started.

After the cooling-off period, refunds of tuition and accommodation fees depend on how far in advance you cancel: 120 days or more before the start date, 100% of fees paid excluding the enrolment fee; 90 to 119 days, 50%; 45 to 89 days, 10%; and 0 to 44 days, no refund. Refunds are made to the original payer within 28 days of confirming eligibility, net of bank, card, and foreign exchange charges.

Weekends are dedicated to supervised enrichment and cultural activities. There is no academic teaching during the weekends.

Dietary and religious requirements are treated as a practical matter rather than an afterthought. We ask families in advance about any dietary, allergy, or medical requirements so we can plan properly and brief staff. Our catering teams can accommodate halal and kosher needs, as well as vegetarian, vegan, and allergen-specific diets. We can also arrange access to multifaith prayer rooms and quiet spaces.

Yes, in many cases. We ask families in advance to share any learning differences, accessibility needs, or support plans, so that we can make sensible arrangements before the programme begins.

Where appropriate, we can match a student with a tutor who has relevant experience, for example supporting students with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, or mild autism spectrum traits. Common adjustments include clearer weekly planning, structured note-making support, breaking tasks into manageable steps, and short breaks.

We cannot provide clinical care or specialist one-to-one learning support beyond what is reasonable within a short residential programme. Where a need is complex, we will be candid at the outset.
