Two directors, an operational team, and the academics who taught the 2026 Oxford Summer Academy.

Oxford Global Education is led by academics from Oxford and Cambridge.

All of our teaching is delivered by Oxford and Cambridge academics. We select people for the quality of their scholarship, teaching and judgement, then match them carefully to the students and questions they are best placed to develop.

Ahmad Nawaz is a University of Oxford graduate in Philosophy and Theology, and a prominent advocate for education and youth development. He has addressed the United Nations and the UK Parliament, and spoken at international forums alongside presidents, prime ministers and leading public figures. His honours include the British Empire Medal, the Diana Legacy Award and an Honorary Doctorate from Coventry University. At Oxford Global Education, Ahmad leads programme delivery.

Sebastian Bird graduated from Oxford with a Double First in Classics, achieving the highest mark in his cohort in both Philosophy and Ancient History. After completing a master’s degree at Cambridge, he returned to Oxford for a DPhil as a Clarendon Scholar. He has taught on summer programmes around the world, combining intellectual seriousness with an approachable teaching style. At Oxford Global Education, Sebastian leads our international partnerships.
