The people behind Oxford Global Education
Two directors, an operational team, and the academics who taught the 2026 Oxford Summer Academy.
Oxford Global Education is led by academics from Oxford and Cambridge.
OGE tutors are selected from academics and graduates of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Tutors must demonstrate a strong academic record and at least 100 hours of teaching experience. Selection considers subject expertise, teaching ability and the capacity to challenge and support students through tutorial discussion.
Independent by design
Oxford Global Education develops and operates its own programmes, research and educational approach. We draw on the experience of academics educated at or working at Oxford and Cambridge while remaining institutionally independent.
University names identify each person’s individual education or academic position. They do not indicate any official affiliation between Oxford Global Education and the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge.
Ahmad Nawaz is a University of Oxford graduate in Philosophy and Theology, and a prominent advocate for education and youth development. He has addressed the United Nations and the UK Parliament, and spoken at international forums alongside presidents, prime ministers and leading public figures. His honours include the British Empire Medal, the Diana Legacy Award and an Honorary Doctorate from Coventry University. At Oxford Global Education, Ahmad leads programme delivery.
Sebastian Bird graduated from Oxford with a Double First in Classics, achieving the highest mark in his cohort in both Philosophy and Ancient History. After completing a master’s degree at Cambridge, he returned to Oxford for a DPhil as a Clarendon Scholar. He has taught on summer programmes around the world, combining intellectual seriousness with an approachable teaching style. At Oxford Global Education, Sebastian leads our international partnerships.

A University of Cambridge alumna and founder of Constellation Group. She advises the programme’s leadership and development.
Benjamin Lloyd has tutored and supported students who have progressed to leading universities. At Oxford Global Education, he leads communications.
